Mikako and Tsutomu are in Hirohiko's place, and they start talking about Ruriko. Hirohiko says
that, despite the divorce, Mikako and Ruriko are still the most important things in his life.
Ruriko confides to Tokumori that she's worried for Mikako and when she gets back home, Mikako avoids her,
being angry with her because Ruriko has thrown away every letter from her father.
The next day, when Mikako comes back home, she finds her mother fainted into the bathroom,
having vomited blood. Mikako panics, but Tsutomu arrives and helps her to take Ruriko at the hospital.
Chapter 17: Love - 2
There, the doctor diagnosticates a gastric ulcer, and Ruriko is forced to spend a couple of days at the
hospital.
While there, Tsutomu makes a call to Mikako's father asking him to show to his family some kind of support and after a couple of hours
after a while
Hirohiko arrives and asks to Ruriko to give their relation another chance.
Meanwhile at school, Ayumi helps Mariko and Yuusuke to reconciliate (once again ..)
Chapter 18: Summer Vacantion
The school year is ended and the Akindo members have decided to make a trip to the Nakasu's summer place
at Kuroizawa.
Ruriko too decides to have small holiday with Hirohiko.
It comes the time for the trip and Mariko's summer home turns to be a huge maison with tennis court, swimming pool and many rooms.
Suddenly, Shuu pops up, and Mariko leaves with him, making Yuusuke very upset and Ayumi troubled. Mikako and Tsutomu have a sort of forebording like a storm
approaching. Infact, a storm is approaching, and it starts raining.
Mikako, Risa, P-chan and Ayumi take a bath together, and their friendship deeply grows; Ayumi admits to
them she loves Yuusuke and then starts crying.
Meanwhile the males are playing cards, and Tsutomu sees Mariko leaving from the house...
Chapter 19: A Stormy Night
Risa, P-chan and Mikako are apologizing to Ayumi for making her cry when Mikako sees Mariko going to
Shuu's home.
Mariko is going to Shuu's home because she forgot there her contact lens case. Shuu tells to Mariko that
his girlfriend has dumped him down, Mariko replies that she has always loved him and he says the same.
Mariko admits that she's actually dating with somebody but she wouldn't be offended if he tries to kiss
her.
Shuu replies that she's always the same: "You have a boyfriend right now, haven't you? So try to take
care of him".
Back to the maison, Ayumi is explaining that she only wants Yuusuke to be happy but that feels really
troubled when Mariko flirts with somebody else.
Yuusuke finds that Mariko isn't at home and while he's going outside to look for her, she comes back.
Yuusuke asks if she went to see Shuu and, when she doesn't answer and keep on crying, he says: "Alright I
understand, enough already. It's over." Mariko screams "no"
and Yuusuke rushes out.
Tsutomu tries to stop him while the other are trying to calm down Mariko but it's Ayumi who follows him
out in the storm.
Chapter 20: A Stormy Night - 2
Ayumi keeps on following Yuusuke and tries to stop him, but he ignores her until she falls down.
Back to the apartment, Mariko has calmed down and she's now sleeping with P-chan; but Ayumi and Yuusuke
have lost the way to home, so they decide to sleep into a small cave.
Yuusuke is amused by her candid reactions to his teasing, and admits that he and Mariko just spend all their time fighting.
Meanwhile Mikako and Tsutomu are in the same bedroom, and when he tries a romantic move on her, she screams really loud and calls him stupid for this. Tsutomu wonders if she loves him after all.
The morning after, Mariko has come back to Tokyo, leaving only a message: "I go home; please forgive my selfish behaviour" and Yuusuke and Ayumi finally find their way home.
Despite this, the morning is pretty fun until Shintaro tells Yuusuke that Mariko doesn't answer the phone, so Yuusuke decides to go home to see if she's ok.
Mikako asks to Tsutomu to gout with her to see the sun falling, but Tsutomu refuses. Risa says to Mikako that's probably because she treated him that way the night before and that
"you'll see that one day you'll feel this kind of desire too".
