Chapter 25: Happiness
Late after Ayumi meet Yuusuke and asks him if something is happened between he and Mariko.
He rushes oof looking for her, and arrives at the fashion show in time to see Lisa and her group
singing wearing fake animal's fur.
He talks with Shintaru while Mikako's group presents his "Le Marier" design, but Mikako's dress takes
everyone's breath away.
After Mikako's appereance, Yuusuke sees Mariko leaving the fashion show and follow her. Yuusuke finds that Mariko
is going out with Shuu again, and Mariko tells: "I just want to be happy, like everyone else!"; Yuusuke replies
telling her that he would be the one to make her happy, and ends with: "Now go and be happy".
Mariko leaves.
Mikako, Lisa and P-chan are happy that the fashion show is over, at last but they all feel a little nervous
as the await for the results.
Hamada-sensei is the supervisor of the ballots' counting, and she predicted, Mikako is the winner.
Mikako is happy that she can finally spend some time with Tsutomu.
Chapter 26: Study in London
Mikako is at the bathroom when is announced that she won the first prize at the fashion show. Lisa's group has missed
the first place in the group category, by only four votes.
Principal Yazawa tells to Lisa and Mikako that they have been choosen to study fashion design in London; Lisa declines the offers
because she doesn't want to leave Takeshi and this dampens Mikako's enthusiasm as she realizes she doesn't want
to leave Tsutomu.
That night the neighbours organize a party for Mikako at the Blue Parrot; Tsutomu is working at the atelier,
because he wants to give a pair of happy berry earrings to Mikako.
As he gives to her his present, she starts to cry, and he says: "I don't care how my life will go, as long as you
remain by side".
Mikako thinks: "Hamada-sensei, Principal, I'm sorry, but I want to be with Tsutomu after all.
Chapter 26: Adulthood
Mikako and Tsutomu make love for the first time, but they are forced to cover up quickly when
their parents come back from the Blue Parrot. Ruriko finds them innocently playing tarot cards, and takes her
daughter at home.
Toku enters in the room and tells to Tsutomu: "It's good that Ruriko didn't see that!" pointing to a condom on
the floor. As Tsutomu protests, Toku tells him to grow up, because Mikako is depending on him too.
The day after at school, Mikako tells to Hamada-sensei that she doesn't want to go to London too, but Hamada-sensei
replies that she should talk about it with Tsutomu. Seiiji tells her that she's acting like a child, and not like
a designer.
P-chan, Lisa, Ayumi and Jiro are shocke as they learn from Shintaru that Mariko left the school. Ayumi runs Yuusuke
apartment to tell him try again with Mariko, but Yuusuke has a bad cold so Ayumi takes care of him.
Yuusuke tells to Ayumi that he and Mariko weren't good for each other, "I'm all yours now"; Ayumi:
"I don't want you - I don't feel happy".
Meanwhile Tsutomu and Mikako are talking about Mikako's London trip. Mikako says to him: "if you'll tell me
no to go, I won't go. Please, tell me to not go!!".
Mairko is cutting some photos of her and Yuusuke while crying.
Chapter 28: Indipendence
Mikako cuts her hair and makes them pink. She asks again to Tsutomu to tell her to not leave, but he doesn't
want to tell her those words.
Mikako goes to the Blue Parrot, where meets Tokumori and his fiance'e Michyo
but, as she looses a big brother she get closer to Seiiji who tells her she
should concentrate on what's important for her now.
Mikako tells her decision to Tsutomu: "I decided I won't go; you are the most
important thing for me now"; he's a little upset, but he sees Mariko and the
discussion passes by.
Mikako sends Tsutomu on his own and Mariko and Mikako can have an open-heart
discussion. Mariko tells her she was hoping that Yuusuke try to stop her from
quitting the school but she's glad he didn't.
Mikako says she's in love with Tsutomu, but Mariko warns her on not depending
too much on him, and she realizes that, if she goes to London, it could be a
relief for Tsutomu.
Chapter 29: Seventeen Years
Mikako remembers how she spent her whole life with Tsutomu.
Tsutomu visits Mikako's father, Hirohiko and he assures him hes doing the right
way; plus Hirohiko asks Tsutomu if he wants to become his assistant, because
Hirohiko was impressed by Tsutomu's festival photos.
Tsutomu accepts.
That night is discovered tha Mikako is missing again.
On the telephone, Mariko tells to Tsutomu what she said to Mikako and he
replies: "I never thought of her as a burde, I just want o make her happy".
Tsutomu finally finds her hiding at her old place, into the elephant in the
park.
Mikako feels grateful for the seventeen years of love that Tsutomu has gived
her.
